Proposal Title: Radar imaging of Five NearEarth Asteroids
ABSTRACT:
We propose to obtain imaging of five nearEarth asteroids from February to April, 2008. This interval provides an
unusually large number of highSNR asteroid targets. We propose to obtain radar images of these objects with
su#cient resolution and aspect coverage to generate detailed shape models. For four of the objects, we will use the
resulting shape models to model thermal emission, which will be measured for these objects using the midIR
spectrometer at the IRTF on Mauna Kea.
