Urgent Proposal for S-band Radar Astrometry of Asteroid 2004 MN4 in August

2005
ABSTRACT:
We prop ose radar observations of 2004 MN4 on August 7-9 2005 in order to obtain radar astrometry to improve the asteroid's orbit. Radar astrometry in August 2005 could retire the risk of multiple low-probability (Torino scale 1) impact solutions in the 2030s. Although the probability of such impacts is low, there is considerable scientific and p olitical interest in retiring the risk as so on as p ossible.
