Urgent Proposal for Radar Observations of Near-Earth Asteroid 2013 WT44

We propose Arecibo radar imaging and shape modeling of near-Earth asteroid 2013 WT44 during its close approach within 0.056 AU in late March of 2014. Recent results from NASA's Wide-field Infrared Explorer (WISE) spacecraft indicate that this ob ject is 1 km in diameter and that it will be a very strong radar target. The proposed observations will help calibrate the diameter estimated from the WISE mission data.
