Proposal Title: The Distribution of Angular Momentum in the Pisces-Perseus Supercluster
ABSTRACT:
We propose to use radio observations in conjunction with APS optical catalogs to investigate phenomena tied to
the origins of galaxy angular momentum. Most of this study uses the Arecibo telescope to construct a catalog of
very accurately determined galaxy spin vectors, which can be used to investigate the possibility of galaxy
alignments. We also propose to search for gas rich, optically faint galaxies using a relationship between optical
color and gas mass from VLA surveys of Hercules
