Proposal Title: Timing Observations of a New, Bright, Fast Pulsar
ABSTRACT:
We have discovered a bright 25 ms pulsar, J0407+16, during a drift scan survey at Arecibo Observatory. The
distance of this object from the Galactic plane (> 1 ~ kpc) makes it appear unlikely that it is young pulsar; however,
the results of preliminary timing observations done at Green Bank suggest that it is nonetheless an isolated neutron
star. Here we propose further timing observations of this unique pulsar.
