Turbulence and Feedback in the Diffuse ISM

We intend to morphologically and quantitatively identify sources of turbulence in the high galactic latitude interstellar medium. We have already observed isolated cases of ejecta that morphologically resemble outflows from stars and we now wish to classify these as well as constrain the turbulent cascade and energy injection scales. We are able to do this now due to two recent advances. Firstly, the development of new turbulence analysis tools that can better interpret position-position-velocity (PPV) HI cubes and, secondly, the implementation of ALFA, which lends vastly increased mapping speed and associated advanced data reduction techniques.
