Search for Giant Pulses in Three High Edot Pulsars

We propose to make observations using the WAPP of the pulsars J1930+1852, B1951+32, and J1913+1011 in order to prove a correlation between the Edot of a pulsar and the presence of giant pulses. We believe we will be successful in finding giant pulses in these pulsars because they possess high Edots, a characteristic shared by the Crab Pulsar, PSR B1937+21, PSR B0540­69, and B1821 and #8722;24; four of the few currently known giant pulse emitters. These pulsars have been monitored, however there have been no specific searches completed for giant pulses. We expect that with the 6 hours we have applied for, we will observe giant pulses in all three pulsars.
