Proposal Title: Arecibo observations of a bursting pulsar
ABSTRACT:
The moding pulsar B0943+10 was recently shown to exhibit large­scale correlated changes in its radio and X­ray
properties. These imply rapid, global changes in the pulsar magnetosphere, challenging all theories of pulsar
emission. We wish to enable further observational breakthroughs with simultaneous radio and X­ray observations
of PSR B0611+22 which exhibits regular radio bursts in addition to its normal radio emission. Simultaneous
multi­wavelength observations of such bursting pulsars have excellent prospects for constraining the physics of
these enigmatic objects.
