Proposal Title: Arecibo Studies of Gravity Wave Momentum Flux in the MLT Region
ABSTRACT:
Under this proposal, the dual­beam capability of the Arecibo 430 MHz radar would be exploited to measure
momentum fluxes, wind variances of the horizontal and vertical wind components, and temperature variances in
the upper mesosphere and into the lower thermosphere. Arecibo is uniquely suited to measure winds and fluxes in
this region.
