Proposal Title: 50 MHz scintillation observations of several nearby pulsars
ABSTRACT:
We propose to observe three pulsars at 50 MHz using baseband recording techniques. The goal is to study
interstellar turbulence and the distribution of scattering material along the lines of sight to these weakly scattered
pulsars. It is only by observing at low frequencies (less than approx = 100 MHz) that it is possible to see the
scintillation structure necessary for this analysis. Baseband recording techniques allow the versatility to do
predetection dispersion removal, advanced RFI removal, and a full scintillation analysis.
