EGNoG: Atomic and Molecular Gas in an Intermediate-Redshift Sample

We seek 30 hours of Arecibo time at 21 cm to determine the HI content of 20 intermediate redshift (z 0.09 - 0.18) galaxies detected in CO by CARMA. The combination of HI and H2 gas masses will directly constrain the evolution of the gas reservoir of galaxies in this poorly-understood redshift range, as well as allow us to probe the question of how the mass of star-forming molecular gas is regulated in these systems. These data are needed to constrain models of gas accretion and star formation in the context of galaxy evolution.
