It turns out that Nova M31 2008-11b is actually a galactic variable. Oddly, in the same discovery image we have 2008hz which turned out to be a background supernova!

Pepe Manteca took a recent image of 2008fm and thinks that there may be another possible supernova there. Can someone confirm? (Rafael Ferrando confirmation image) This appears to be a HII region.

The possible supernova in NGC 3318 (Discovery image) (same galaxy as 2000cl) was not visible on 2008/10/10.1 when Berto Monard went looking for it.
The possible supernova in NGC 3432 turned out to be a variable star (CBET 1534)
