CC-100 Coolant Circulator
The CC-100 Coolant Circulator provides a continuous flow of coolant to PI thermoelectrically cooled CCD detectors. It eliminates the need for cumbersome water circulation and associated plumbing, and is, therefore, environmentally sound, eliminating unnecessary waste of water. The circulator is a closed cycle unit and is composed of an efficient low vibration pump with a fan cooled thermal radiator. The circulator is portable, easy to connect, and is capable of maintaining the coolant temperature close to ambient indefinitely. Hoses of various lengths with quick-connect valves are available. The circulator operates at standard voltages and frequencies.

Performance Characteristics
Liquid: Capacity: Pressure and Flow: Maximum Flow Rate: Water, water/ethylene glycol, or other inert liquids with viscosity approximately that of water. Approximately 0.85 liter, excluding capacity of external coolant lines and device to be cooled. Maximum pump pressure @ 6.4 psi (0.45 kg/cm2 ) with zero flow. Corresponds to 13 ft. (4 meters) of water head. 5 gallons per minute (19 liters/min.) with zero back pressure. 1 gallon per minute (3.8 liters/min.) at 5 psi (0.35 kg/cm2 ). Typical application with 20 ft. (6 meters) of 3/16" (4.76 mm) I.D. polyurethane tube, and 8 Swagelock quick-connect connectors. The flow rate will be 0.47 liter/min. Typical application with 20 ft. (6 meters) of 3/16" (4.76 mm) I.D. polyurethane tube with only tube connectors. The flow rate will be @ 1 qt. per minute (0.95 liters/min.). Temperature rises approximately 0.03°C per watt (3.4 btu/hr). Based on a typical flow rate of between 0.47 to 0.95 liter/minute and a thermal load of 100 watts (341 btu/hr.). When using a CC-100 to cool a PI detector, the coldest attainable temperature is approximately 2°C lower compared to tapwater at ambient temperature. Minimum Temperature, 0°F (-18°C), avoid freezing; Maximum Temperature, 120°F (49°C); Humidity, avoid condensation; Front Clearance, 6" (150 mm) minimum; Rear Clearance, 12" (300 mm) minimum; Side Clearance, 1" (20 mm) minimum; 2 amps at 105-125 V AC (standard); 2 amps at 94-110 V AC (optional); 1 amp at 210-250 V AC (optional) Depth: 12.5" (318 mm); Width: 15.75" (400 mm); Height: 8.25" (210 mm); Weight Without Coolant: 16 lbs. (7.3 kg) without transformer, standard. 19 lbs. (8.6 kg) with optional transformers for either 100 V or 230 V AC operation. Fluid Interface: Two 1/4" female NPT tapped threads provided at the inlet and outlet on the rear panel. Two 1/4" male NPT connectors to 1/4" Swagelock tube fitting with two 3" (76 mm) by 1/4" O.D. copper tubes provided standard. Optional tube accessory kit with 8 Swagelock quick-connect connectors and 20 ft. (6 meters) polyurethane tubing 1/4" x 3/16" I.D. Note: All test data and specifications are based on water as the cooling fluid, and are guidelines only. Specifications will vary depending on the fluid, operating temperature, and other conditions.
