ABSTRACT. The results of the search for rapid variability of the Equ in the band = 30 A, centered on S200A magnetic Ap star are discussed. Th e controversial results, reported by several other authors are being discussed too. The analysis of the observations, communicated in the given paper allows us to make the following conclusions: a) there exists no periodicity of the Equ larger than 0. 008; b) a short - periodic variability of the comparison star Equ is probable.
