Supernova 2007uy and 2008D in NGC 2770

Yoji Hirose (Japan)).
This one is a type Ib.
We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.

2008D was discovered by
the Swift/XRT satellite which was then observing
2007uy, and announced by
Lick Observatory Supernova Search (USA).
This was first announced as a supernova by Deng & Zhu in
GCN 7159.
This one is a type Ib (not Ic like other GRBs have turned out to be).
These supernova are in the
Constellation Gemini.
