1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

1.1 Completed Five Sets of FGS 6273 (Observations of Minor Planets at
Crossing Points)

The Fine Guidance Sensors #3 was used to make astrometric a currently
unidentified minor planet code named "Paul" ( Paul51, MPREF21, MPREF22,
MPREF23, MPREF24, Paul61, Paul 62, Paul63, Paul71, Paul72, Paul73, et. al).
The objective is to determine the FGS plate scale to an accuracy of 0.001"
over 15 arc minutes of the traverse. The observations were executed as
scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

1.2 Completed FOS/BL 6146 (FOS Location of Spectra and Aperture - Part 2)

The Faint Object Spectrograph (Blue Side) was used to conduct a test to
determine the repeatability of positioning the filter-grating wheel. All
observations were internal. A wave length calibration image was also taken.
All observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 5971 (HST Medium Deep Survey)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make a long exposure medium deep sky survey
observations at latitudes larger than 10 degrees taken in parallel with the
prime science observations. The observations were executed as scheduled, and
no anomalies were noted

1.4 Completed Two Sets of GHRS/2 6029 (Distribution of O2 on Ganymede and
Callisto)

The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side Two) was used to make
observations of Jupiter's moons Ganymeade and Callisto to study the
distribution of O2 on the moon. This is to study the distribution of O2 as a
function of latitude and terrain type. The observations were completed as
planned, and no anomalies were reported.

1.5 Completed WF/PC-2 6227 (The H II/PDR Interface and Other Small Scale
Structure in H II Regions)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the H II region known as
the Hourglass within M-8 (aka, The Lagoon Nebula in Sagittarius) to study the
H II/PDR interface and other small scale structures. The Hourglass presents
a good opportunity to study a photo-evaporative flow driven by an extremely
intense radiation field. The observations were completed as scheduled, and
no problems were reported.

1.6 Completed WF/PC-2 5560 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor.
1)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make several internal bias, K-Spot, and flat
calibration observations to monitor the CCD camera electronics, the optical
alignment, and to check for contamination. The observations were completed
as planned, and no anomalies were noted.

1.7 Completed Two Sets of GHRS/2 5855 (Boron in Li- and Be- Deficient F
Type Stars)

The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side Two) were used to make
spectrographic observations of F class stars HD5015 and HD128167 to study its
boron abundances, and its lithium depletions. The observations were
completed as planned, and no problems were reported.

1.8 Completed WF/PC-2 6050 (Spectrographic and Photometric Study of the
very Low Mass Triple System)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make photometric observations of the very low
mass triple star system LHS1070 which has a high proper motion, high internal
motions, and has annual parallax of 0.13". The observations were completed
as planned, and no problems were reported.

1.9 Completed WF/PC-2 5629 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Photometric Calibration
Monitor 1C: 4-Chip STD in F170W)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make photometric calibration observations of
the ultraviolet standard star GRW+70D582. The observations were executed as
scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

1.10 Completed GHRS/1 5950 (Spectroscopy of the Three UV Brightest Known
High-Redshift Quasars)

The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side One) was used to make
ultraviolet observations of quasar HS-1307+46 which is known to be one of the
brightest high redshift quasars. The objectives are to measure the C, N, O,
and Ne abundances in the halos of early galaxies, to measure the intensity of
the ionizing UV background, to measure He I, and to study the Lyman-Alpha
forest. The observations were completed as scheduled, and no anomalies were
reported.

1.11 Completed WF/PC-2 6131 (Brown Dwarf Binaries in the Pleiades)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of brown dwarf binary stars
in the Pleiades (aka, M-45). It is hoped to confirm the duplicity of these
suspected binaries. The observations were completed as scheduled, and no
anomalies were reported.

1.12 Completed WF/PC-2 6310 (A Photometric Search for Planets of Nearby
Stars)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make photometric observations of the nearby
star HD128620 (aka, the Alpha, Beta Cent and Proxima Cent Complex) looking
for possible planets. The exposure times were calculated so that areas
beyond ~1.2 arc seconds from the central stars will not be saturated. The
observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported.

1.13 Completed GHRS/2 5863 (The Astrophysical Laboratory - RR-Tel)

The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side Two) was used to make
spectrographic observations of the variable symbiotic nova RR-Tel to test
recent theoretical calculations of Einstein A-values and electron collision
strengths. Star RR-Tel is rich with an emission line spectrum. The
observations were executed as planned, and no anomalies were reported.
