Soderblom Abstract excerpted from the report: This analysis examines the performance of the GHRS 'double locate' acquisition strategy during 1993. The need for the 'double locate' strategy and recommendations for its use in the future are discussed. The GHRS 'double locate' strategy was developed to assist in getting a target into the small science aperture (SSA). This 'double locate' strategy consists of two parts: an ACQ in the large science aperture (LSA) and and ACQ/PEAKUP also in the LSA.
