WFPC2 Instrument Science Report 92-03:
WFPC2 Science Observation and Engineering Modes
by J. T. Trauger and D. I. Brown
October, 1992
Abstract excerpted from the report:
The purpose of this document is to summarize the functionality of the Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 (WFPC2) in a manner that defines the minimum suite of instrument observation and engineering modes and calibration data- base elements required to fully utilize the science capabilities of WFPC2.
This document is meant to supplement other WFPC2 descriptive documents, which together constitute a complete description of the various instrument operations, modes, procedures, capabilities, and idiosyncracies. The necessary documents are variously maintained by JPL, GSFC, and STScI. This complete set includes the following items: WFPC2 Command Handbook (JPL D-9412), WFPC2 Telemetry Handbook (JPL D-9413), Appendix VI to ICD 08 SI to SIC&DH ICD (JPL D-9200), HST Constraints and Restrictions Document (CARD), Operations Limitations Document (OLD), Phase II Proposal Instructions Engineering Verion (SCI-92226), WFPC2 Contract End Item Specifications, WFPC2 Science Observations and Engineering Modes.
The Complete Paper is now available, (Post Script, 38.3 Mbytes).
