Early execution of a Phase 2 (before start of cycle)
There are valid reasons for starting the execution of a Phase 2 program before the start of the cycle for which it was approved. Here are the steps to make it happen. · PI must submit a Proposal Change Request via the Proposal Information website, including scientific justification for early scheduling (or for any request to move plan windows earlier) · Telescope Time Review Board reviews request. · TTRB sends recommendation to SMO for approval. · TTRB notifies PI of decision, sending a copy of the decision to the proposal shared email folder. · If the program is approved for early (or earlier) execution, the PC notifies the LRPG to add the program to the LRP (or to move the plan windows).
