ACTIVITY TITLE:

Periodic FGS Internal Test Source (ITS) Test

APPLICABLE SMOV REQUIREMENT: Check the FGS and ITS for variations in Test Source illumination and signal response. DESCRIPTION: Check the FGS and ITS for variations in Test Source illumination and signal response. IMPLEMENTATION METHOD: Performed using standard planned commands (Alan W elty/STScI has the SMS commanding to accomplish this activity). This activity must be performed in telemetry format `F'. DEPENDENCIES: Should be conducted before the first guide star acquisition. The FGE modifier (Kd) should be set to the baseline value of 0.013 for each FGS, before this activity is started. DURATION: total. Approximately 6.0 minutes of commanding for each FGS, yields 18.0 minutes

DATA REQUIREMENTS: Approximately 18.0 minutes of standard engineering data in `F' format. ANALYSES & RESULTS: The data will be processed using existing software, the results will be trended with the pre-SM3B measurements. The final report will be available 2 weeks after the test. COMMENTS: None
