Primary Project: Post Main Sequence Evolution of Very Massive Stars (> 40M$_{\odot}$). The transition between O stars and WR is regulated by the loss of a significant fraction of mass: 1) mass loss properties of transition objects such as Luminous Blue Variables and Ofpe/WN9 stars, with the objective of understanding the evolutionary connections in the upper HR Diagram. 2) kinematical and chemical properties of the circumstellar nebulae of ejected material around these evolved massive objects to investigate the mass loss history of the central star. This has proven to be a very effective and new tool to gain insight in these late stages of evolution . 3) working on a program of radio observations of LBV nebulae to assess the amount of neutral material associated with the ionised gas, with the objective of placing a quantitative estimate on the total mass lost. We will obtain CO observations of these nebulae. 4) using hydrodynamical models coupled to stellar evolution models to reproduce the observed nebular morphologies and properties, and therefore reconstruct the mass loss phases.
