You can then pick setup stars which are around 9-9.5 mag and preferably red (spectral types K or M) if possible.

Note that as of Fall 2004, you have to include the setup stars in the Air Force list explicitly, so make sure to find those all first!
You can also run licktargetlist.pl to generate a Lick-formatted target list. It works exactly the same way, just formats the output differently.
