Gerard A. Kriss is an Associate Astronomer at the Space Telescope Science Institute, where he is the Head of the Instruments Division (INS). He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Johns Hopkins University. His primary research interests are extragalactic observational astronomy, particularly quasars, active galaxies, and the intergalactic medium, and space instrumentation.
