An open invitation exists to discuss and refine Posterra's structure--before its official founding. Posterra seeks those who believe that humankind must grow the capacity to create human settlements off of the planet Earth, and that the broadest segment of humanity possible must be included within it. The guidance and participation of leaders in professional technological, legal, and financial fields are solicited in particular.

Currently, Posterra is an idea for which the boundaries and structure are not yet rigidly defined. The core idea is most succinctly captured in the slogan 'Posterra for Posterity'. In a nutshell, the idea is that off-planet habitation is a right to be claimed, a destiny to be realized, and that we must construct it for those who follow us--a capability that we must help create for our descendants.
