Near bad or edge pixels:

Assuming that the 'missing area' of the bad pixels which is covered by an unrecognizable event pattern is usually small compared to the size of the pattern (i.e. that only a small amount of the total charge is lost in bad pixels), the treatment is the same as for the isolated case.
