A rather unusual cutoff low formed deep to the southwest of the Oregon Coast. This is seen above. Usually such disturbances tap into the subtropical jet stream to give us the very wet pineapple express. This did not happen this time (the express went further North) and most all of Oregon was subject to a rather warm Southerly flow. This culminated on Nov 13 with the establishment of many new records:
