41. CEV Launch Abort System
. 6 мая 2010 года . На ракетном полигона Уайт-Сэндс (White Sands Missile Range), штат Нью-Мексико (New Mexico), проведено успешное испытание системы аварийного спасения (САС) для корабля Orion (Pad Abort 1 test, или PA1). Полет капсулы корабля после срабатывания САС, длился 97 секунд. Максимальная высота подъема капсулы составила около 2 км. Credit: NASA TV .
