Supernova 1986G in NGC 5128 . One of the largest and intensically brightest galaxies Centarus A ( NGC 5128 ) at Magnitude 7.0. ... This supernova was first discovered on May 3rd of 1986 and reported in IAUC 4208 . In IAUC 4210 we learned that this was a Type I supernova.
