The BTA (Bolshoi Teleskop Alt-azimutalnyi, Eng:Large Altazimuth Telescope) is a large 6 m optical telescope at the Special Astrophysical Observatory. The BTA-6 was the largest telescope in the world between its first light in 1975 and 1993.
