... part 1 | ... The Basic Stages in Earth's Pre-geological Development . ... After fragments of the Vortex sleeves separated, whirlwinds of second and third orders ("NC" - new micro-vortex) were generated- future planet cores and their satellites - all of them developing independently, governed by the common laws of development of cosmogenic vortexes. ... Our planet's core today is comprised of considerably deteriorated cosmogenic vortex; consequently, the Earth has a moderated magnetic field. ...
The 2dF QSO Redshift Survey (2QZ) . ... Before jumping into all the finer details of teh survey, a brief non-astronomer's guide to redshift surveys is available. ... The primary scientific aims of the QSO survey are: (1) to obtain the primordial fluctuation power spectrum out to COBE scales, (2) to determine the rate of QSO clustering evolution in the non-linear and linear regimes and hence obtain new limits on the value of and the bias parameter, (3) to apply a powerful geometric method to measure . ...

... It appears that, billions of years after the big bang, following the formation of galaxies, some form of darkenergy that is causing the expansion rate to accelerate overtook the Universe. ... The transition from big crunch to big bang automatically replenishes the Universe by creating new matter and radiation. ... By dispelling the myth that the big bang is a beginning of space and time, superstring theory opens up new possibilities for the cosmological history of the Universe. ...

... Piotrovich Main Astronomical Observatory, Pulkovo, St. Petersburg, Russia Received May 24, 2006; in final form, July 7, 2006 Abstract--We have used two astrometric methods developed at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences--the method of apparent-motion parameters (AMP) and a direct geometrical method (DGM)--to derive the orbit of the star S2 around the Galactic center, and thereby the mass of the supermassive black hole at the Galactic center. ... The Archeops experiment aimed at measuring the cosmic background emitted just after the Big Bang. The study of this radiation is essential to obtain precise information on the evolution of the Universe: density, Hubble constant, age of the Universe.. To achieve this goal, measurements have been done with devices cooled down at 100mK temperature placed at the focus of a warm telescope. ... 28960 visitors . ...

. Comment on J0405+3803 . Our image contains a feature of 25 mJy at 14 mas E-NE from the brightest component. It is not visible in the Caltech-Jodrell (CJ) survey image at 5 GHz (Xu et al. 1995) obtained about 6 years earlier. The 1.6 GHz CJ image (Polatidis et al. 1995) does show an extended feature close to the position in question, but somewhat displaced toward west. VLBApls home page . Last modified: 16 Oct 2000
