Armagh Observatory, 10 January 2003: A former resident of Armagh, Mr Terry Moseley, now President of the Irish Astronomical Association , was recently honoured by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) by having a minor planet named after him. The asteroid, the first to be discovered by David Asher, of the Armagh Observatory, was found at Siding Spring Observatory, Australia, on Boxing Day 1994.
