Preliminary scientific program:

Conference theme : Humic Substances in Terrestrial
and Aquatic
Ecosystems

Location of the Conference : Ra?kova dolina (High Tatras)

Time : 19 - 22 June 2005

Program : The conference will comprise
plenary lectures in 2 morning
and afternoon
sessions supplemented by papers and posters
related to the
subject of each lecture.

The Organizing Committee will invite leading scientists to present plenary
lectures on the main conference topics. Participant wishing to present a
paper or poster are kindly requested to submit their contribution in
English. In case of oral presentation the approximate time limit for each
speaker will be 15 minutes including 3-5 minutes discussion.

Poster presentation:
A poster session will be arranged to present technical developments and/or
scientific results. The contribution will be on display the whole meeting
and should be explained by their autors during the poster session.

Excursions:
The following excursions have been preliminarily planned as alternatives:
1, Tour to the High Tatras (Tatranska Lomnica, Strbske Pleso, Smokovce,
Ke?marok)
2, Tour to the Spis Region ( Spi?skÈ Podhradie, Spis Castle, Levo?a )

Language:
English as official language and Slovak and Polish as languages of the
host countries.

Call for papers :
Papers and posters are welcomed on all topics mentioned in the program. The
contributions are subject to acceptance by the Organizing Committee. They
should be written in English for publication in the proceedings, selected
papers in Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica - a scientific journal of the
Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, or in Polish Journal of Soil
Sciences in which original scientific papers are published.
Full papers (3.5" diskette, MS WORD 6.0) should be written in English and
should not exceed six pages, including tables, figures and references and
should be original, unpublished and not to be published elsewhere.
Deadline for submission of manuscripts and abstracts (separately, ca 200
words) is 30 March 2005.
The form and layout for printing the contribution will be specified in 2nd
circular

Registration fee: included all administration costs, documents, and
excursion will be specified in 2nd circular. (Approximate prices for
accomodation including food, registration fee and excursion and
publication, will be 130 - 150 EUR).

The conference site (Teaching and Recreation Centre of Slovak Agricultural
University, Nitra - Ra?kova dolina in High Tatras) can be reached:

o by train to the station LiptovskÙ MikulÀ?:
- from ?ilina - time-table will be precised in 2nd circular
A car transportation will be provided by the organizers to/from Ra?kova
dolina. Please notify the organizers by e-mail or fax giving the date and
hour of the arrival to LiptovskÙ MikulÀ?. The deadline is 10 june 2005.

o by car:

Peter) - Pribylina (hotel Esperanto), after hotel 100 m turn to left on
