Fast reacting modulated power supply with energy recuperation

There are many researches of novel energy control methods in power electronics. Thus, using of mixed or digital control systems, instead of pure analog control, gives us an opportunity to reduce transient time and make amplitude of voltage throws (due to steps of current consumption) smaller. The goal of this work is to design and manufacture fast reacting power supply with energy recuperation, and develop system control algorithm, based on energy-shaping control principle, which makes system to react quickly. During the work full development cycle was carried out, starting with model development and simulating, and finishing with development of hardware device. Furthermore, control algorithm was developed and implemented in hardware. As a result, created system showed useful properties that could be used in power electronics and laser diode drivers.
