The influence of the viscosity of a liquid phase (in the range 1 - 1500 cP in experiments with water and solutions of the glycerine - water system) on the character of the development of cavitation phenomena during the introduction of ultrasonic vibrations with frequency 24 . 1.5 kHz into a load and change in the displacement amplitude of a radiator in the range 5 - 15 mm was investigated. In the experiments a change in the magnitude of cavitation region and the level of cavitation noise in the frequency range 10 - 400 kHz depending on the displacement amplitude of a radiator were estimated. As a result of the experiments carried out, it has been found that with a rise in the displacement amplitude of the radiator, the dimensions of cavitation region increase linearly in all investigated liquids and the level of cavitation noise rises up to a certain value and then decreases.  With an increase in the viscosity of liquid, the level of cavitation noise at fixed values of the displacement amplitude rises.
