'The Moscow University' on Construction of a Group of Buildings of the Moscow State University on Lenin Hills in 1948-1953

The goal of the article is to estimate the materials devoted to construction of new buildings of the Moscow State University on Lenin Hills according to «The Moscow University» newspaper in 1948-1953. The author comes to a conclusion that the university newspaper informed collective of the Moscow university of all stages of construction of a group of buildings of the Moscow State University, purposefully and regularly. Thus “The Moscow University” carried out not only informational function, but was also a propaganda tool. The university newspaper has managed to reflect active participation of collective of the Moscow State University headed by the rector, academician A.N. Nesmeyanov in designing, building and material and technical equipment of the Palace of Science on Lenin Hills. It is possible to estimate the enormous scope of building and unprecedented speed of construction through materials published in the paper.
