Bankruptcy Types in Modern Economy

The article contains systematic classification of modern types of insolvency (bankruptcy): reasons for and types of inability to pay, kinds of debtors. The main characteristics of bankruptcy types are observed. The author analyzes the international experience of voluntary bankruptcy procedures which give an opportunity to satisfy creditors’ demands most completely and to recover the debtor’s business faster. The article also deals with the analysis of the main types of criminal bankruptcies, examines the key reasons for its wide spreading in Russia, contains some recommendations to minimize its negative influence on the national economy.
