Teaching Business Communication to Management Students

Training management students in the sphere of business communication implies active use of online resources, including YouTube videos, as well as simulations, roleplaying and case studies. The article describes theoretical framework and practical experience of developing presentation skills, teaching students to write a resume and a cover letter and to participate in a job interview, helping them to gain competence in business correspondence and meetings. These skills are illustrated by examples of simulations and role plays. The author draws a conclusion that a business communication course built on certain principles fosters creativity, non-standard thinking, flexibility, and team-working skills, which are vital for a modern business manager and public administrator.
