Europol experts notice that in the last several years extremism and terrorism are developing on a different ideological basis. During the global financial crisis the support for terrorist organizations may grow, among other reasons, due to the terrorists’ manipulation of the protest movement ideas. The manipulative use of the revolutionary changes idea is inherent in terrorists of different trends, for example, Аnwar al-Avlaki, Anders Brejvik, “Informal Anarchist Federation” in Italy etc. It endangers the very idea of civil protest. The author aims to compare the cases of a manipulation of “revolutionary” rhetoric in the documents of terrorist organizations operating in the EU.
