The article is an overview of Evgeny Pashentsev’s monograph “Hugo Chavez. In the Flames of the Information Warfare”. The author of the monograph presents the political biography of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez and analyzes the main directions of his economical and social policy.

The book examines the hostile campaign led by rightist Venezuelan and Western media against Hugo Chavez and his political course. The monograph could be useful for understanding the specifics and trends of information threats in global politics.
