EPFL application procedure and on-line application form for the incoming
exchange students to EPFL during 2013/2014 is now available on our website:
http://sae.epfl.ch/exchange-incoming
We remind that our application procedure has to be completed online only
and therefore no paper forms and documents (such as transcript of records,
passport copy, CV, etc...) have to be sent to us.
Please note that:
Academic
- The learning agreement of exchange students to EPFL must include between
20-30 ECTS per semester
- Students must have the prior knowledge to attend the chosen courses
- The access to courses in College of Management of Technology (Management
of Technology and Entrepreneurship, and Financial Engineering EPFL) is
authorized only under a prior special request to the Student Exchange
Office. Students who might have registered without our authorization will
be automatically withdrawn from the courses.
Language
- We expect incoming exchange students to have sufficient French language
skills to be successful in their exchange program of study, as Bachelor
courses are taught mainly in French and the campus and area language is
also French. We do not ask for any proof and certificates, as we believe
it is MSU responsibility to make sure that MSU students have sufficient
French knowledge to be able to attend the courses.
Accommodation
- As it is very difficult for students to find an accommodation in
Lausanne, we recommend that they start their search as soon as they have
been nominated by you. We advise them to contact your students currently
on exchange at EPFL to request some help.
Our deadline for an exchange during the entire academic year or the autumn
semester is 15.03 and for the spring semester it is 15.10.
If the students need a visa, please remind them that they must apply for a
Swiss visa at least 3 months before the start of their study at EPFL.
