First announcement

Dear colleagues,

You are kindly invited to take part in the International Conference
"Mesoscale Meteorology and Air Pollution" - in commemoration of the late
Professor Lev N. Guttmann and his outstanding contribution to theoretical
meso-meteorology.

The Conference will be held at the Odessa State Environmental University
(OSEU), Odessa, Ukraine, during 15-17 September 2008. It will cover the
following key topics:
. Nature, theory and modelling of meso-scale meteorological processes
. Their role in climate system
. Air pollution

The types of presentations are:
Invited plenary lectures (45 min)
Invited solicited presentations (30 min)
Oral presentations (15 min)

The Conference is sponsored by the EU Programme COST 728, the EU TEMPUS JEP
26005, the OSEU, and the Administration of the Odessa region. The working
language is English.

Important dates
Abstract submission by June 1st 2008
Abstract acceptance by June 15th 2008
Pre-registration by July 1st 2008

Abstracts submission
The abstracts (up to 1 page) are to be sent as attached files in MSWORD
format, 12 pt size to the executive secretary of the Local Organising
Committee Alexander Kazakov geophys@ogmi.farlep.odessa.ua. The abstracts
should include all contact information about the presenting author:
affiliation, postal and e-mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers.
