Numeration of Monte Carlo sessions

CompHEP  numerical calculations are organized as a sequence of Monte Carlo integration sessions. Each session has its ordinal number. The current session number is displayed.

All results of calculations are written into the results directory. To distinguish files produced in different sessions we include a session number N in the output file names. To distinguish files produced by n_comphep_f from those produced by n_comphep_c we use prefixes 'c_' and 'f_' as required. The results of integration and all settings are stored in the protocol file f_prt_N (c_prt_N). Events generated by n_comphep_f are stacked in the file events_N. A current version of the n_comphep_c program does not save events.

The latest settings are saved in the file f_session.dat (c_session.dat) when n_comphep is quitted. On a next launch this file is scanned to restore the last settings.
