ABSTRACT. An experimental data and discussion on the problem of the chemical development of ultra fine-grained AgBr crystals under flash action are presented. To reveal the common features and differences in the effect of electric current and extreme contrast developers acting in AgBr grains the influence of different factors on kinetics of the chemical development process of ultra fine-grained AgBr crystals were studied. The data obtained confirm the existence of cooperative mechanism of Ag nucleation under certain conditions.
