Russian Language Programmes

• are available at 6 levels;
• the minimum period of study is 4 weeks;
• full-time tuition (over 30 academic hours per week — 5 days a week) as well as part-time tuition (18 academic hours per week — 3 days a week) is available during the academic year (September–June) and during the summer time (July–August).

During the academic year (September–June) flexible course dates are offered.

An initial Russian language assessment test places each new student into classes appropriate to his or her proficiency level.

Classes prove personalized attention (average 7 students per class).

Courses are based on our best textbooks and make use of the most effective, modern and traditional, teaching methods.

A balanced program of speaking, listening, writing and reading skills ensure that all students make progress as quickly as possible.

Goals and objectives often focus on practicing speaking skills, extending vocabulary, activating grammar, improving pronunciation.

Fastening of knowledge is provided by out-of-class activities, such as participating in the CIE student drama studio.

Cultural programme is one of the most popular ways of getting acquainted with the country and people. Our students enjoy excursions to famous Moscow places of interest, a variety of sightseeing tours around Moscow and Moscow region as well as trips to other Russian cities and towns (such as St. Petersburg and towns of the Golden Ring). The cost of excursions is not included in the tuition fee; some excursions are free of charge.
