The world of Russian cinema, Kurlova Irina
Students will get acquainted with the best Russian films, learn to understand informal conversation, get to know a lot of interesting facts about the culture and history of Russia.
Phonetics and Russian poetry, Volnova Anna
Focus is on phonetics and intonation. Students will read and analyze the best samples of Russian poetry ХIХ–ХХ of centuries and put on the stage as well as take part in mini-plays on the basis of what they have read.
Let’s play, Zhaboklitskaja Irena
Let’s have a rest from serious studies! Russian can be fun! :-) This engaging and lively course makes students to remember plenty of everyday phrases and words easily and quickly. The focus is on spoken language.
Language of mass-media, Gorelikov Sergej
If you are interested in the political, economic and cultural life of Russia, we invite you to get acquainted with the Russian press and how it deals with the issues in question (“Argumenty i facty”, “Novosti”, “Moscovski Komsomolets”, “Kommersant”, “Literaturnaya gazeta”, etc.).
World of Russian Culture, Artemyeva Irina
Students will get acquainted with Russian classic writers (Pushkin, Lermontov, Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Bulgakov, Pasternak, Bunin, Solzhenitsyn, etc.). The course as well features the Russian literature of the “perestrojka and glasnost” period; postmodernism; the past and present of Russian theatre; contemporary cinema — screen versions of classics of XIX–XX centuries; Russian opera etc. Excursions to art museums and literary-historical places of interest are offered.
Business Russian, Davkova Irina
If you want to communicate with Russian business partners, take part in professional conversations and correspondence in Russian — this course is for you. You will grasp professional vocabulary and grammatical structures, most common in business Russian.

The course covers issues starting from the ancient history of the Russian state up to nowadays.
