The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology is proud to announce the creation of a Communications Specialist position.
Skolkovo Tech is a startup university, to be located in the innovation city Skolkovo, outside of Moscow. Launching in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, SkolkovoTech will have cutting-edge research and graduate educational programs with experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship wholly integrated.
Reporting to the Communication Manager, the Communications Specialist will work with the Skolkovo Tech team to implement the strategy for all communications, website, and public relations messages of Skolkovo Tech.

Primary Responsibilities:
Jointly with the Communication Manager implement the annual communications plan across the key target audiences of the institute both in Russia and abroad;
Actively participate in the generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action;
Put communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities;
Develop and distribute major print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, and the Skolkovo Tech website;
Work with key Institute's officers, including Research, Students, CEI, Development, IT on development of the content for Skolkovo Tech website;
Ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly;
Jointly with Communication Manager work to engage all media contacts of SkolkovoTech.

Ideal Experience and Qualities:
Qualifications
Skolkovo Tech is seeking a Communications professional who has at least 1-3 years of communications experience in a PR agency or in-house covering areas such as website content, newsletters. A journalist background is useful. The ability to take information and transform it into concise and inspirational messages is critical.
Highly collaborative style, ability to gain and process information in short timelines
Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills in Russian- 'must'
Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters;
Desire to work in a start-up environment, under tremendous amount of uncertainly and stress, being able to feel, appreciate and use the drive of the team.
Extraordinary problem solving abilities
Excellent computer and language skills. English is a working language of Skolkovo Tech

Remuneration:
The successful candidate will be paid a competitive compensation package commensurate with the important responsibilities of this role in delivering SkolkovoTech Institute's project plan.
