On the basis of extensive data compiled both by the present and previous authors, PleistoceneHolocene sea-level changes of all Russian seas are described. Factors of global sea-level changes and its seas and coastal evolution peculiarities under these conditions are analyzed. It is demonstrated that the large-scale sea-level changes in Russia during the recent geological past resulted in the significant (up to several hundreds of km) shoreline movement and the drastic changes in patterns of coastal evolution. On the basis of critical analysis and quantitative comparison of extensive geological, geomorphic, historical, archeological and other kinds of indirect data on ancient sea coastal complexes of various morphogenetic types, the pattern of sea-level changes on specific seas of Russia is analyzed in detail. The achieved results are used for prediction of coastal evolution in Russia under conditions of possible acceleration of global sea-level rise and water-level rise of specific seas. Tables 8. Il. 73.
