Environmentally friendly soft solution chemical reactions such as solvothermal reactions using elevated temperature water and/or nonaqueous solvents as reaction media are mainly used for the synthesis of functional materials.

Hydrothermal and/or solvothermal synthesis and characterization of simple oxides powders, complex substances, one dimensional (1D) nanostructures and hybrids and/or composites materials.

Using ultrasonic and microwave irradiation on chemical processes occurring under hydrothermal conditions for development of novel, environmentally benign, energy saving hydrothermal technologies of nanopowders preparation.

Powders and/or aerogels preparation by sol-gel method followed by supercritical drying in different solvents and their application in catalysis.
