It is our great pleasure to announce the first International Conference on Power Control and Optimization PCO 2008, which will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 18 to 20 July 2008. The Conference is sponsored by WSEAS, Springer Verlag and IEEE Thailand section, and organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chiang Mai University, Thailand and Curtin University, Malaysia Scope of the conference is contemporary and original research and educational development in the area of electrical power engineering, control systems and methods of optimization techniques. The scope of the conference includes, but not limited to, the following topics:

papers will be peer reviewed by two independent reviewers as per IEEE guide. Selected papers from PCO-08 will be published in Springer Verlag and WSEAS Journals
