13.03.09 : Software Development Engineer - Student/Intern

• Learning and Understanding HP and 3rd party software solutions, including architectures, development practices, frameworks, methodologies, SDK's, additional programming languages and tools as necessary, etc.
• Interacting with software divisions, consulting groups, end users, etc. in Russia and world-wide
• Development of protocols, adapters and middleware components
• Development of requirement specifications, high-level and low-level design, test specifications
• Coding using Java, XML/XSL
• Unit testing
• Maintaining the code
• Follow HP Global Delivery Application Services (GDAS) development methodology
• Interaction with HP GDAS teams/personnel including development teams, support, delivery organization, etc.

• Must be undergraduate student (1-2 years before graduation = 2010 or 2011 graduate) working towards Specialist or Master degree or PhD student. Major: Computer Information Systems or other related disciplines
• Understanding of industry standard solutions and tools (development, testing, project management tools)
• Industry standard languages and hardware, MS, UNIX, Java
• Experience in or knowledge of software development, project work
• Good communication in reading, writing, speaking English

• Global Delivery Application Services (GDAS Russia Center) is a business unit within HP Services spanning almost the whole world.
• Its objective is to deliver high quality outsourced application services to Hewlett-Packard's customers.
• GDAS Russia Center is quickly developing organization located in Moscow, dealing with application development and management for key Russian and international companies

 Skills and Requirements: 
- Knowledge: MS WIndows, Unix (HP-UX, Linux, Solaris), Java (j2se, j2ee), XML/XSL, Junit, other testing SW 
- Experience in or knowledge of SW development, development cycle & standards, testing environment 
- Aggressive ability to extract information from internal and external sources to use in successful fulfillment of responsibilities 
- Good sense of customer contact is required 
- Self driven and motivated, but balanced with teamwork and open communication skills, result-oriented 
- Flexibility, initiative, organized, analytical 
- Ability to travel 
- Ability to quickly assimilate customer requirements across a broad range of fields 
- Understanding of real-time systems concepts, distributed systems concepts; RDBMS knowledge is a plus 
- Knowledge of CMMi is a plus 
- General knowledge of Telecom switching equipment is a plus 
- Familiar with physical interfaces, cabling, physical link’s analyzing, connection tracing, etc. is a plus
